Title: Special Education Teacher (Leave Replacement)Dates: August 27, 2025 – January 2, 2026Job Description: The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to serve as a leave replacement. The role involves supporting both middle and high school students with IEPs, collaborating with instructional staff, and maintaining compliance with all special education requirements during the leave period.Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals- Work collaboratively with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations- Manage IEP documentation and progress monitoring- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and service providers- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all studentsQualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities 7-12 or SWD All Grades- Experience teaching middle school and high school students preferred- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues Location: POBJFK High School Salary: As per contract Deadline: Monday, August 18, 2025
