ANTICIPATED OPENING 2025-2026Special Education Teacher (Leave Replacement)Dates: August 27, 2025 – November 3, 2025Job Description: The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic NYS certified Special Education English Language Arts Teacher to serve as a leave replacement. The role involves supporting high school students with IEPs, collaborating with instructional staff, and maintaining compliance with all special education requirements during the leave period. Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students' IEP goals- Work collaboratively with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations- Manage IEP documentation and progress monitoring- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and service providers- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all studentsQualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities 7-12 or SWD All Grades- Valid NYS Certification in English Language Arts 7-12- Experience teaching high school students preferred- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleaguesLocation: POBJFK High SchoolSalary: As per contractDeadline: Monday, July 7, 2025
