ANTICIPATED OPENING:HIGH SCHOOL SPANISH TEACHER-LEAVE REPLACEMENT FOR 2024-2025 (AUGUST 28, 2024 UNTIL JANUARY 2025) The Plainview-Old Bethpage CSD’s World Language and ENL Department is seeking a passionate and skilled Spanish Teacher for a leave replacement position. The ideal candidate will have strong cmmand of the Spanish language and a deep understanding of Hispanic cultures. The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students achieve fluency in Spanish.Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging and effective Spanish lesson plans.- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback.- Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues.- Participate in department meetings and professional development.Qualifications: - Must have New York State teaching certification in Spanish.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.Location: POB JFK High SchoolStart Date: August 28, 2024 Deadline: Friday, July 12, 2024
