ANTICIPATED OPENING 2023-2024SCHOOL GUIDANCE COUNSELOR (MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVEL) LEAVE REPLACEMENTResponsibilities:- Identify, assess and advise and counsel students, regarding academic, social, and emotional issues- Collaborate with students, parents, faculty and administrative team- Provide both individual and group counseling to students- Implement and maintain communication with students, parents, faculty and administrators regarding student needs and progress- Participate as a member of the building MTSS Committee- Communicate, coordinate and collaborate with behavioral health specialists on developing and implementing student supports- Support and attend relevant student activities and eventsKey Qualifications:- Knowledgeable, motivated and passionate about the middle school child and adolescent growth and development- Strong communication skills both, oral and writing- Collaborative mindset, eager to work in a team-environment- Strong grasp of technology - Culturally responsive approach to working with students with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability toward accomplishing educational goals- A strong belief that all children can succeed- Strong organizational skillsRequirements: Must have approved NYS DOE Certification as School CounselorEffective Date: May 1, 2024Salary: As per contractDeadline to Apply: March 18, 2024
