Putnam | Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking candidates for Pre-Teaching Paid Apprenticeships beginning in September in local public school districts. Apprenticeships are open to undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a degree in education. The apprenticeship will take place for the fall semester. Candidates can commit to apprenticing for one, two, three, or four days per week. Candidates will be assigned a home base for the month of September; days in the home base are unpaid. Beginning in October, candidates can be assigned to substitute for one, two, three, or four days a week based on their commitment; these are paid days.Duties: Work one, two, three, or four days per week in a public school setting supporting students and teachers while having on-the-job training.
