Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for a full-time Teaching Assistant for the 2022-2023 School Year. Candidate must be able to work with advanced students as well as students with special needs. Candidate must be able to assist in the instruction of the Construction and Transportation Trades Career & Technical Education (CTE) curricula to students.Qualifications: Must be properly certified by the New York State Education Department to work as a Teaching Assistant.Characteristics Desired: Ability to work with students and staff in a CTE classroom setting and provide clear and accurate assistance to students in the program. Strong background and prior work experience in the construction trades (Carpentry, HVAC, Electrical, Masonry, and Welding) and transportation trades (small engine, auto mechanics, auto body) in a high school setting preferred. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
