Duties: Develop & implement engaging lessons, tailored to the needs of adult learners, reflective of the NYS Core Curriculum for Cosmetology Design hands-on, practical experiences (e.g. “clinics,” in-class demonstrations, practicing skills using mannequins, etc.) Manage classroom dynamics to create a respectful, inclusive, motivating environment for diverse student populations Assess & support student progress, working closely with students to support their goals Maintain accurate attendance, participation, and performance record Qualifications: Proven experience teaching, preferably within adult education and/or classroom settings Current NYS Cosmetology license in good standing Familiarity with learning technology tools Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Punctual & must be willing to teach assigned course for its full scheduled duration Characteristics Desired: Prior experience and/or strong desire to work with students from varied backgrounds and skill levels Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
