The Pleasantville Union Free School District is seeking a talented and innovative Special Education Teacher for a full-time (1.0) probationary position as Lead Teacher of its Individualized Support Program at Pleasantville Middle School. This is an integrated program for students who require individualized support in a mainstream setting. Responsibilities include working with students individually and in small group settings on academics, activities of daily living, social skills training, behavioral regulation strategies, and executive functioning support. Candidates must hold NYS Special Education certification in grades 7-12; candidates with dual certification and experience working with students with special needs are preferred.
