The Pleasantville Union Free School District is seeking a Cleaner to perform a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of buildings and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing floors and furniture, emptying trash, and cleaning lavatories with restocking supplies as needed. Additional duties may include washing windows and walls, moving furniture, mowing lawns, shoveling snow, and maintaining sidewalks and driveways. The role may also involve unlocking and locking rooms for inspections or services and reporting on the condition and cleanliness of facilities. Candidates should have a working knowledge of cleaning practices and equipment, the ability to follow simple instructions, and communicate effectively. Dependability, honesty, a willingness to perform manual labor, and have the ability to work in a team environment.
