The Pleasantville Union Free School District is seeking a teacher for an anticipated first grade, full time probationary position at the Bedford Road School (grades K-4). The ideal candidate will have experience teaching English and Math at the elementary level and use a variety of methods to support student learning. A strong understanding of current best practices in reading instruction is important, along with the ability to use technology to enhance lessons. The candidate should be able to assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed. The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to support all students is essential. Certification/Experience: NYS State Childhood (1-6) and/or (Birth-2 and 1-6) Certification Preferred additional certifications in NYS English to Speakers of Other Languages and/or NYS Students with Disabilities and/or NYS Literacy Letter of interest, resume, certification(s), and transcript(s) must be attached to the OLAS application.
