The Pleasantville Union Free School District is seeking a music teacher for a full-time probationary position at Pleasantville Middle School. Candidates with experience teaching chorus and general music to middle school students in grades 5 – 8 are preferred.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive choral and general music curriculum that aligns with state standards and fosters musical growth and creativity.Conduct rehearsals and performances for various choral ensembles, which consist of students at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.Provide individual and group vocal instruction, focusing on proper technique, tone production, and musical expression.Collaborate with colleagues to integrate choral music into interdisciplinary projects and performances.Organize and oversee choral concerts, recitals, and other performances throughout the school year.Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, motivated, and inspired to achieve their full potential.Candidates must hold valid NY State Certification in Music (K-12).
