The Pleasantville Union Free School District is seeking a Middle School Principal to lead Pleasantville Middle School, a grades five through eight school in central Westchester, NY. A thorough knowledge of middle level philosophy, programs, laws and regulations, and special education is required. It is essential that the principal has the ability to connect with, along with establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, their families, staff and colleagues. Candidates must hold School Building Leader or equivalent certification.Qualifications:Knowledge and experience with middle school curriculum development, instruction, and program review. Knowledge and experience in data analysis to drive instruction. Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills. Experience and training in educational equity, inclusion, and equality for all students. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. An interest in the school community and its traditions. Administration/Leadership experience preferred. Letter of interest, resume, certification(s), and transcript(s) must be attached to the OLAS application.
