The Pelham School District is looking for a districtwide chairperson CSE/CPSE/504 and PPS liaison to the Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services. Candidates should have a strong background in special education and experience chairing a variety of special education and 504 meetings, including CPSE meetings. Knowledge of processes and procedural compliance timelines is needed. The ideal candidate should have experience with IEP Direct and writing of IEP’s. Additional responsibilities can include student observations, communication and visits to out of district programs, and attending district committee meetings. Background/experience with social emotional work (assessments, curriculum) is a plus. Qualifications:Certification: NYS School Psychologist certification preferred or Special Education or related support service certification.Experience: 3-5 years in a school or district setting with CPSE/CSE/504 participation.Skills:Strong knowledge of CPSE/CSE/504 guidelines, procedures, and NYS special education regulations.Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written, and digital).Ability to collaborate effectively with parents, school staff, and external agencies.Proficiency in using data to inform decision-making and program development.Multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
