Assistant Superintendent for BusinessPearl River School District Pearl River School District is seeking a professional administrative leader to serve as its next Assistant Superintendent for Business. The district is well known for its high academic performance and outstanding support from parents and the community. We are seeking an innovative educational leader with a record of significant accomplishments in a high performing school district who will work collaboratively with the Board of Education, administration, faculty, and staff, and school district community to effectively maintain business functions including payroll, benefits, accounting, budgeting, purchasing, cash management, risk management, and financial planning, analysis, and reporting. In addition, this position oversees the Buildings and Grounds Department, transportation, and food services.The Pearl River School District is located in Rockland County, NY, approximately 20 miles north of NYC. Pearl River School District serves approximately 2400 students across five schools in grades K-12.Minimum qualifications: NYS certification in administration (SBA or SDBL), and successful school district business administration experience. Effective Date: September 6, 2023 The ideal candidate should possess:In-depth knowledge and experience in public sector accounting and management of the overall financial operations of a school district, including NYSED regulations;Skilled at long-range planning, budget preparation, and capital project oversight;Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills;Ability to work collaboratively with the school community to continuously foster growth and improvement in our school program;Experience/knowledge overseeing buildings and grounds, transportation, and food service; andCreative problem solving and critical thinking skills that support school programs while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
