Pearl River School District is seeking a collaborative administrator to serve in a probationary position as Assistant Principal of Pearl River Middle School. The Pearl River School District is in Rockland County, NY, approximately 20 miles north of NYC. Pearl River High School serves approximately 700 students in grades 5-7. The district is well known for its high academic performance and outstanding support from parents and the community. We are seeking an innovative educational leader that will work collaboratively with the administrative team, faculty, staff, students and parents to inspire and promote academic excellence and achievement for every student.Minimum qualifications: NYS certification in administration (SAS or SBL), experience in teaching and/or successful administrative experience preferably in grades 5, 6, and/or 7.The ideal candidate should possess:Extensive knowledge in academic leadership including best practices, curriculum development, NYS Learning Standards, and assessmentCommitment to collaborative planning with administrative team and faculty members to lead school improvementDesire to maintain and build a school culture conducive to academic, social, and emotional learningExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with diverse groupsOutstanding oral and written communication skillsStrong technology skills including master scheduling and using technology as an instructional toolApply on OLAS
