Dates : July 6 - August 20, 2026 (Monday-Friday) Location : 113 Bowman Avenue, Rye Brook, NY 10573 Admin Schedule : Daily, upon completion of all mandated administrative CSE/CPSE duties. Requirement: Highly qualified candidates are required to possess comprehensive expertise in Special Education Administration and a thorough understanding of all related regulations, including: The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act NYSED Part 200 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Candidates must hold SAS, SBL, SDA, or SDL certification. Compensation rate : $75 per hour. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide supervision and ensure district-wide compliance with all Special Education and Section 504 Federal and State mandates for our students with disabilities, and refer to the CPSE/CSE ages 3-22 Serve as a Full Chairperson of the CSE, CPSE, and 504 meetings and complete related mandated follow-up Supervise all Extended School Year (ESY): teachers, teacher assistants, related service providers, aides, clerical, monitors, and nurse Ensure the timely production of IEPs and 504s for BOE approval Ensure contact and follow-up with all parents, local, regional, and NYSED agencies concerning the district's CPSE/CSE/504 processes Supervise the process of CPSE/CSE program searches to ensure acceptance or responses from recommended programs to reconvene CSEs meeting to finalize placements for the 26-27 school year Ensure follow-up with all Prior Written Notices(PWN) requests for Amendment, no meetings, and confirm scheduling of CSE meetings in cases with no parent responding to PWNs Ensure implementation with fidelity of all Extended School Year (ESY) IEPs Conduct walk-throughs of CPSE, out-of-district (OOD), and all in-district programs, facilitating ESY services Collaborate to verify district special education data to assist the Director with the completion of state reporting, including PD & VR reports Review and evaluate ESY data and make recommendations for the program’s effectiveness and best-practice implementation Resolve special education issues and disputes Collaborate with Principals, Summer Administrators, Directors, Faculty, and Staff to enhance Special Education programs and services Serve as a Chairperson of the full CSE, CPSE, and 504 meetings. Participate in the interview & hiring process for Special Education staff members. Supervise all Sub-CSE Provide the final ESY written report and analysis to the Director of Special Education upon completion of the program Oversee ESY’s teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers’ professional development, as needed Communicate with ESY families via Parent Square Collaborate with all summer school leaders to ensure the proper support of students with disabilities accessing non-special education summer programs Authorization of Summer timesheets, Nvision requisitions, STAC & Medicaid claims Supervise, in coordination with the department of building and grounds, the precise return of all furniture/ supplies and materials to the home schools from each of the ESY classes Communicate and collaborate with ESY teacher leaders Communicate with families via Parent Square Lead the ESY’s response in the event of emergencies Supervise the collection and distribution to parents of all ESY service reports, filing in the corresponding CSE/CPSE files, and access via the special education repository system Email the Director of Special Education at least weekly to update regarding highlights and issues Supervise the coordination of ESY transportation as per students’ IEPs Other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education and Superintendent/designee Candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, and other constituent groups and have experience in effective performance of educational leadership/administration.
