It is anticipated that the following full-time positions are available for the 2025-2026 school year effective immediately:Teaching AssistantThe Port Chester Public Schools seek motivated and dynamic educators who will be responsible for supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons to a diverse student population.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/or visual instruction of students with a wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturity.Provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and help the students make a satisfactory transition to school.Establishes and maintains standards of classroom management required to achieve effective participation in all activities.Provides appropriate instruction and activities for students to meet school/district policies, goals and objectives.Cooperates with other professional staff members to deliver the instructional program.Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and/or professional growth activities and university courses.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDThe position requires current NYS certification in the area of Teaching Assistant (Level I, II, or III).
