Port Chester Schools has an anticipated opening for a probationary, tenure track position as an K-5 Math Coach for the 2022-2023 school year. The Mathematics Coach should be highly skilled in facilitating student-centered mathematics instruction and coaching teachers and teacher teams to implement the district’s mathematics curriculum. This position requires a teacher who is a continual learner and has knowledge of and demonstrated success in teaching a problem-based curriculum as well as in facilitating job-embedded professional learning for teachers. The Mathematics Coach will be responsible for supporting school leaders, teachers and teacher teams to meet the needs of their diverse learners through high quality instruction, frequent progress monitoring and targeted supports. This successful applicant will primarily support teachers in mathematics, as well as science instruction in grades K-5. NYS certification in Childhood Education grades 1-6 required.
