ANTICIPATED POSITION AVAILABLE 2024-2025 POSTING # 136-24-25 APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 6, 2024 POSITION: Instructional Technology Specialist (K-12) with a focus on Secondary Levels REQUIREMENTS: Must possess Educational Technology Specialist (Pre-K-12) Certification COMMENTS: Successful candidates will work in a fast paced, challenging environment that is dedicated to academic and social success for all students. RESPONSIBILITIES:Must be willing to facilitate Professional Development sessions throughout the Summer and on Tuesday afternoons, occasionally ending at 6:00 p.m.Provide professional development workshops and training for faculty in educational technology skills and applications including but not limited to Windows 10/11, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Learning A-Z, Nearpod, Schoology, MagicSchool.AI, field trips, and Classlink.Introduces and models technology application topics and strategies for teachers while working with them in the classroom and during PLC/PDP periods. Activities may include but not be limited to; engineering practices, gaming, coding, studio media development, digital 3D printing, drone technologies and genius hours with various civics inspired topics.Conduct training and assist with NYS Computer Based Testing.Efficient with IReady and its reporting features.Ability to work collaboratively with teachers in order to integrate the Computer Science & Digital Learning Standards into their curriculums.Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software problems.Assist faculty with integrating technology and student led learning activities into lessons.Assist faculty in developing units, projects, or other assignments utilizing educational technologies.Be a consistent presence throughout the buildings where technology is used, especially during technology-integrated instruction and other technology-mediated activities.Meet with Director of Innovation and Educational Technology and other members of the Instructional Technology Department on a regular basis to assess needs and recommend emerging technology innovations to explore.
