MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OPEN COMPETITIVEEither:a) Graduation from a college with federally-authorized accreditation or registration by NY State with an Associate's Degree in information technology or computer science, and one (1) year of experience in the use, diagnosis and repair of audiovisual, computer and other information technology equipment: or,b) Graudation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and three (3) years of experience in the use, diagnossi and repair of audiovisual, computer and other information technology equipment: or, c) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of a) and b).REQUIRED:RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintain and repair all audio visual equipment in large meetings spaces such as auditoriums, gymnasiums and cafeterias, including but not limited to projectors, soundboards, lighting boards, microphones, screens, and video recording equipment. • Maintain and repair all instructional audio visual technology, such as smartboards, promethean, boards, digital displays, projectors, and speaker systems. • Maintain the inventory of all audio/visual equipment. • Responsible for maintaining all PA systems. This includes but is not limited to rack equipment, indoor speakers, outdoor speakers/horns, classroom phones, and configuration.• Maintain bell system and bell programming. • Event setup and break down which includes but is not limited to Board of Education meetings, school plays, musicals, moving up ceremonies, graduations and district or community sponsored events. • Work with the Administrator of Technology to maintain a life cycle for audio visual equipment that keeps it up to date and functional. • Outside shift work is required for events and special setups.
