The Orange-Ulster BOCES Division of Instructional Support Services is seeking (1) full-time Library Media Specialist to join our dynamic and innovative staff development team to design and deliver professional learning experiences, engage in instructional coaching, and develop and implement library and subject area curriculum, management, and assessment projects for educators in our region.The qualified candidate:Must hold NYS Library Media Specialist CertificationHas at least 3-5 years of teaching and/or library experienceIs proficient in technology with the ability to seamlessly utilize Google Suite products, Microsoft Word, Excel and online course platformsHas experience developing and delivering engaging and interactive professional learning experiences in the following settings: in-person, online live synchronous webinars, and online asynchronous self-paced coursesIs knowledgeable about NYS standards, curriculum, and assessment systemsHas excellent verbal and written skillsIs skilled in using, troubleshooting, and providing professional learning in the use of various library automation software including but not limited to Follett Destiny, Media Flex OPALS, various online subscriptions, and learning management softwareCan plan, facilitate, and evaluate assigned projects using quality principles and best practices in the field of Library MediaPreference will be given to candidates who hold NYS Library Media Specialist and one or more certificates in the following areas:English 7-12Mathematics 7-12Physics 7-12Chemistry 7-12Earth Science 7-12Students with Disabilities ESOL K-12LOTE 7-12Biology 7-12Why this is a great job:You will make a difference!As a Library Media Specialist, you will be supported by a team of dedicated, skilled and caring colleagues working collectively to provide innovative and varied educational opportunities for students.Along with making a difference, you will receive: Competitive salary per contract, based on experience and demonstrated abilitiesBenefits include paid holidays, sick & personal timeNYS retirement and health & dental insuranceProfessional training opportunities to encourage continuous improvement and professional growth What you bring to our team:A personal drive for continuous learning and a desire to develop your skills
