The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi BOCES) is seeking New York State Certified Teachers to join the Synergy Virtual Tutoring Service team. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and possess the flexibility to thrive in a dynamic virtual learning environment. As a virtual tutor, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalized one-to-one or small group live virtual tutoring sessions to students during the school day or after school.Responsibilities:Conduct live virtual interactive tutoring sessions in a synchronous videoconferencing environmentAdapt teaching methods to suit a virtual learning environmentEngage students in meaningful learning experiencesTrack student progress and communicate effectively with students, guardians, and school districtsFoster a positive and engaging learning environment in a virtual community Qualifications:New York State Teaching CertificateInstructional technology skills and familiarity with virtual learning platformsAbility to think fluidly in a virtual work environmentCreativity and innovation in teaching approachesStrong collaboration and communication skillsAvailability between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PMHours are flexible and are typically 1-3 hour time blocksAfter school hours are availableDual certification in relevant subject areas is a plusPositions Available:Science 7-12 (Dual certification a plus)Social Studies 7-12Math 7-12English 7-12Spanish 7-12HealthPhysical EducationSpecial Education (K-12, 7-12)World Languages 7-12Electives
