The CTE Specialist will work under the supervision of the CTE administration (Director of CTE, CTE Principal and CTE Assistant Principal) to support the research-based instruction and learning environment in all CTE programs. The CTE Specialist will have a strong working knowledge of Career & Technical Education, curriculum development and implementation, instructional coaching, and non-traditional support for student success.Duties and Responsibilities Include:Support for CTE teachersProvide research-based instructional modeling and support.Work closely with non-tenured and/or non-certified (other than transitional Certification) teachersAlign supports and modeling with CiTi Mentoring program.Support for Exceptional Education in CTEProvide guidance on supporting identified students in CTE.Collaborate with CTE SpEd teacher on methods of data collection and other input required for CSE meetings/reviews.Support for curriculum development, review, modifications, and assessmentsCoordinate the NYSED approval and re-approval of CTE programs, including articulation agreements.Monitor the development and modification of CTE program curriculum.Collaborate with the Director of College & Career Education to provide consistent support and expectationsSupport the development, implementation, and analysis of technical assessments and locally developed assessmentsSupport for non-certified Teachers and Teaching AssistantsOversee the instructional planning and delivery of instruction by new and non-certified TeachersCollaborate with the Director of College & Career Education, CTE administration to provide consistent support and expectations where appropriate. Work with the CTE administration on special projects as required. Qualifications:Certification required for this position is negotiable depending on experience to supplement certification. Salary - $60,000-$83,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits per contract.
