Probationary Secondary Special Education Teacher - Alternative Ed Certifications required: Students with Disabilities 7-12. Additional certifications are preferred. We are seeking a special education teacher to work in an alternative high school. Our alternative high school provides an environment in which academic, emotional, and character growth are valued equally. Our goal is for students to graduate with the resilience and coping skills necessary to achieve success in their future endeavors. Interested candidates should have knowledge of implementing specially designed instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, while focusing on authentic relationship-building. Candidates with previous experience working in an alternative setting are preferred. The Oceanside School District is a leader in educational excellence and student achievement. We educate 5,500 students in 10 schools, including seven elementary schools, an early childhood center, a middle school, a high school and an alternative high school.
