We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team in providing specialized education to students with diverse learning needs in a special class setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, focusing on academic, social, and behavioral goals.Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies, including ABA techniques, to support student learning and development.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including behavior therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and parents, to address students' unique needs and progress.Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students with disabilities.Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and achievement, and regularly communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student performance.Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth, independence, and self-advocacy skills.Implement behavior management strategies and interventions, including positive reinforcement and proactive supports, to address challenging behaviors effectively.Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education, ABA, and related fields.Special Education certification REQUIRED.The Oceanside School District is a leader in educational excellence and student achievement.
