The Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction serves as overseer of the curriculum ensuring that the district/school educational objectives are aligned to state frameworks and to instructional practices that yield the highest standards of student achievement, instructional excellence, and community support in all subject areas.KNOWLEDGEIn-depth knowledge of NYS curriculum, pedagogy, current educational trends, and NYSED regulationsProficiency in K-12 vertical and horizontal curriculum evaluation and alignment in collaboration with teachers and administratorsVision for program development that supports students in 21st century learning and success in college and careersVision and expertise in creating professional learning opportunities that support teacher growth and capacitySKILLSCollecting and analyzing data to make informed decisionsMust be able to drive continuous improvement in organizational effectiveness.Solid project management and organizational skills, bias for action and results orientation.Professional presentation and facilitation skills, and effective listening skills.Demonstrate high level of proficiency in technology; instructional/management.QUALIFICATIONSNYS Certification as a School District Leader or School District Administrator Retired administrators with knowledge of curriculum and instruction are encouraged to applyWe offer a competitive salary package.
