Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Direct Consultant Teacher to support 7th and 8th-grade students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in their core subject areas. The ideal candidate will collaborate with general education teachers to ensure that students receive the necessary accommodations and modifications to succeed academically. This position requires a strong commitment to inclusive education and the ability to tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs.Responsibilities:Provide direct instructional support to students with IEPs in core subjects (Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies).Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans.Monitor and document student progress towards IEP goals.Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities.Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of student IEPs.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student achievement.Qualifications:Certification in Special Education.Experience working with middle school students, particularly in grades 7 and 8.Strong knowledge of core subject areas and the ability to support students in these subjects.Proven ability to develop and implement individualized education plans.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Commitment to inclusive education practices.
