Nyack Public Schools is seeking candidates for a long term substitute General Music teacher serving K-5 students in a vibrant, diverse community for the anticipated period of September through November 2022. Responsibilities include but are not limited to classroom music with emphasis on equity and social justice; rhythm instruments, recorder, ukulele and guitar, and Chorus. Qualities required include Departmental, Building, and District-wide collaboration, excellent communication skills, and culturally responsive teaching. Candidate must be certified in Music Education; additional certifications such as Kodaly, Orff and/or Dalcroze, or other relevant training pertaining to the position are highly encouraged.Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.
