City School District of New Rochelle Embracing Diversity: Driving Success The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a qualified and dedicated candidate for probationary Earth Science teaching position at New Rochelle High School. Familiarity with the new science standards (NYSSLS/NGSS) required. Candidates considered based on their knowledge to do the following: -Demonstrate ability to work with a variety of stakeholders. -Motivate, engage, and challenge students with a wide variety of teaching strategies and use of differentiation tools. -Conduct and utilize ongoing assessments of student achievement, using both formative and summative assessments -Utilize technology to create innovative lessons, and use of data collection practices to improve pedagogical practices and student performance -Develop and implement the newly adopted New York State Science Standards (NYSSLS/NGSS) in writing lesson plans and authentic tasks. -Effectively communicate with students, parents/guardians and other school stakeholders to monitor student growth.
