The Interim Principal of Daniel Webster Elementary School provides steady, student-centered leadership starting December 1, 2025. This role ensures continuity of instructional excellence, a nurturing school culture, and smooth daily operations. Working closely with district leadership, the Interim Principal supports staff, students, and families while upholding the values and expectations of the City School District of New Rochelle. Key Responsibilities:Lead high-quality instruction aligned with Daniel Webster’s focus on whole-child development and academic growth.Supervise and coach teachers, support staff, and school leadership teams.Oversee daily school operations, scheduling, safety procedures, and crisis response.Foster a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive school climate.Build strong relationships with families and community partners.Use data to guide decisions and monitor student progress.Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and reporting requirements. Qualifications: Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) certification. Proven experience in elementary school leadership or administration. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated commitment to equity, collaboration, and student success.
