City School District of New RochelleEmbracing Diversity: Driving SuccessThe City School District of New Rochelle seeks a knowledgeable and dedicated high school Mathematics Leave Replacement Teacher (December to March). Candidates will be considered based on their demonstrated ability to do the following:Establish and maintain rapport with students, foster a welcoming and affirming classroom environment, and address inappropriate behavior using a restorative approach. Implement Geometry and Algebra 2 units and develop lessons aligned with the expectations of the NY Next Generation Learning Standards. Prepare lessons that reflect differentiation in student learning styles and abilities and use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process. Utilize Webb's Depth of Knowledge to structure student activities and assignments and ensure instructional practice is current with best practices.
