City School District of New RochelleEmbracing Diversity: Driving Success The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking dual certified secondary 7-12 students with Disabilities/English Teachers as a probationary position for the 2023-2024 School Year. Appropriate NYS Certification in both areas is required. Responsibilities include: Plans lessons, delivers high quality instruction, grade student work, maintains a record of grades, corresponds with parents, and effectively communicates with students. Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse education, cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the students served as well as meet the new Social Studies Framework.Prepare for and participate in the student CSE meetings to facilitate students progress and aide in the identification of plans to address student support needs.Attend and participate in Special Education/English Department meetings and complete required Professional Development.Ensure awareness of and compliance with student IEPs.Access and competently utilized IEP program to progress monitor for student goals and for IEP completion.
