Under the general supervision of the Director of Pupil Services, the responsibilities of the School Psychologist and Social Worker include: Collaborating with educators, parents/guardians and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students. Participating in Committee on Special Education meetings.Conduct psychological assessments.Conduct Social Histories.Participate in appropriate department meetings. Perform any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment, as assigned by their supervisor. Adhere to all applicable Federal and New York State Board of Education rules and regulations and The City School District of New Rochelle.
