This is for a full-time, tenure track middle school science teaching position. Successful candidates will:Demonstrate strong content knowledge and innovative instructional practices Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the P-12 New York State Science Learning Standards/Next Generation StandardsDemonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learnersDemonstrate an ability to motivate, engage, challenge and instruct students with a wide variety of teaching strategies and use of multimedia toolsDemonstrate skills to infuse technology into lessonsDemonstrate an understanding of early adolescent developmentDemonstrate experience using data analysis protocols to help drive instructional planningDemonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goalsDemonstrate reflective practices and a commitment to professional learning Candidates must possess appropriate New York State science certification for grades 7-12.
