City School District of New RochelleEmbracing Diversity: Driving Success The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking an Instructional Technology Facilitator. Instructional Technology Facilitators are teachers on special assignment. The ITF provides professional learning opportunities to train K-12 teachers to implement and integrate technology into the classroom, design technology-infused curriculum, and implement classroom projects where technology is well-integrated. They support faculty, staff, and administration when new software applications are implemented and provide resources and materials to support the learning of these applications. The ITF provides embedded classroom support to teachers by working collaboratively through coaching models. The ITFs have direct contact with students when they are working in teachers’ classrooms. They may help to provide content for the Technology Aide, school librarian or classroom teacher to address Digital Citizenship, Coding, STEAM/STEM practices and video production. The Instructional Technology Facilitators also provide rostering support on various applications. They help to support the maintenance of the inventory of hardware and devices in the building, local testing, and the website for their schools. ITFs also provide support for parents and help to train parents on how to use various technology applications used by students. Applicants will need to have an Educational Technology Specialist Certification.
