English/Language Arts Teacher - Albany , NYWith a $2,500 sign on bonus! Northern Rivers is seeking an English/Language Arts Teacher for one of its schools. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of English/Language Arts classroom instructional plans for students. In this role, you will provide subject area instruction (English/Language Arts) that follow the NYS K-12 English/Language Arts Curricula and prepare students for exit examinations and statewide assessments. RESPONSIBILITESEnglish/Language Arts instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels,Classroom instructional plans with the Special Education Teacher (SET) that integrates the student’s IEP goals and objectives, learning style, as well as accommodations and modifications that are needed, andWork with the Special Education Teacher (SET) on individual and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Master’s degree in Special Education or subject area, as appropriate, and ability to work with students who demonstrate serious emotional and behavioral challenges, ages 6-21. Bachelor’s degree with enrollment in a program that leads to a Master’s degree may be considered.NYS certification in Special Education or appropriate subject area.
