You will receive a $2,500 sign on bonus (half paid at 30 days and half paid at a year of service)ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains students in a safe and therapeutic manner in classroomIndividualizes instruction according to each student’s IEPHelps students learn, as evidenced by curriculum based test results and statewide assessment resultsProvides support for student’s treatment planFunctions within the policies and procedures as outlined in the NHS Practice Guide and the PCFC Agency manualChanges as the job changesParticipates in on going supervision and annual job performance evaluation, appropriate to job description as defined with supervisor.Participates in training, appropriate to position as outlined in guidelines through the Sidney Albert Institute. Attends regular and announced meetings pertinent to this position.10. Maintains good working relationships and effective communication with internal and external individuals and organizations.11. Participates in various committees (as assigned by supervisor).12. Works cooperatively as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.13. Provides a therapeutic educational experience for the school’s student population.14. Complete all aspects of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and perform all aspects of TCI.EDUCATIONRequires Bachelors or Masters Degree in Art Education.NYS certification in Art Education.
