Middle School/High School Counseling Assistant North Shore Central School District The North Shore Central School District is seeking a compassionate, organized, and collaborative professional to support the Middle School and High School Counseling Departments. This position will work closely with school counselors, social workers, students, families, and administrators to promote student success and well-being. Responsibilities: Assist counselors and social workers with student support services and interventions. Support the implementation of social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons and schoolwide wellness initiatives. Collaborate with the attendance office to identify students experiencing attendance challenges and assist with family outreach and support. Help coordinate college and career readiness programs, events, and resources. Assist with counseling department programs, workshops, and student-focused initiatives. Maintain records, prepare materials, and support department operations as needed. Qualifications: Master's Degree in School Counseling. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff. Experience supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of adolescents preferred. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive school environment.
