School Psychologist Leave Replacement Job Description: Sea Cliff Elementary School is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Psychologist (Leave Replacement) to join our student support team during a leave this spring. The ideal candidate will provide assessment, consultation, and intervention services to support the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic growth of elementary-aged students. Start Date is approximately 3/2/26.Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychological and educational assessments, including standardized testing, observations, and data analysis, to guide individualized interventions.Participate in and chair Committee on Special Education (CSE) and 504 meetings, contributing to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to elementary students.Provide individual and small-group counseling to support social skills, emotional regulation, and behavioral development.Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to develop strategies that promote positive student outcomes and classroom success.Support students and staff in crisis situations and provide behavioral consultation when needed.Assist in school-wide initiatives that promote social-emotional learning and positive mental health.Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and consultations, in line with district and state guidelines.Qualifications:Valid New York State Certification as a School Psychologist.Experience working with elementary-aged students is strongly preferred.Knowledge of child development, elementary academic standards, and evidence-based interventions.Proficiency in psychological assessment, report writing, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.Flexibility, professional judgment, and the ability to respond effectively in dynamic school environments.
