The Norwich City School District seeks an elementary teacher substitute for leave replacements.The successful candidate will possess a strong ability to:Successfully manage and lead a classroom of elementary studentsWork collaboratively with fellow colleagues to determine essential standards and utilize curricular resources to design a progressive curriculumUtilize assessments to inform instructionFoster an environment where students feel compelled to innovate and take risksPossess a proven ability to interact effectively with students and their families who represent cultures that are diverse in terms of race, class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and other characteristics in order to build an effective and collaborative school communityRecognize trauma's impact on the brain and how to support and be responsive to all learnersOrganize and maintain a system for accurate and complete record-keepingPossess New York State certification in Early Childhood/Childhood B-2 or 1-6, or NYS permanent certification in Elementary B-6Our Mission is to CONNECT, INSPIRE, and EMPOWER.
