Position: 7th and 8th Grade Science We are seeking a dynamic, engaging, and dedicated 7th and 8th Grade Science Teacher to join our junior high team. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a deep knowledge of science content to the classroom, inspiring students to explore and connect scientific concepts to the real world. Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging, standards-based science instruction aligned with the New York State Learning Standards. Develop lessons and lab experiences that encourage inquiry, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Assess student learning using a variety of tools and provide meaningful feedback to support growth. Incorporate technology, project-based learning, and cross-curricular connections into instruction. Collaborate with grade-level and content-area colleagues to ensure a supportive and rigorous learning environment. Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff to support academic and social-emotional success. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education or a related field (Master’s preferred). Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Science 7–12 (or eligibility). Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Passion for working with middle school learners.
