Position Overview:The New Lebanon Central School District is seeking 4 dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as a Teacher Aide. As a Teacher Aide, you will provide essential support to teachers and students, creating an inclusive and enriching learning environment. This is a full-time position available September 1, 2023.Responsibilities:Assist teachers in the implementation of instructional activities and classroom management techniques.Support students with their individualized educational goals and provide one-on-one or small group assistance as directed.Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement educational materials and resources.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment by promoting student engagement, participation, and respectful behavior.Supervise students during class activities, transitions, recess, and lunchtime to ensure a safe and supportive environment.Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom materials, including setting up equipment and materials for lessons.Monitor student behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to establish positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.Basic knowledge of instructional techniques and educational practices.Familiarity with educational technology, such as computers, tablets, and interactive whiteboards.Ability to follow directions, work independently, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.The New Lebanon Central School District is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
