Our commitment is to provide educational and therapeutic services in a nurturing environment with the highest standards of practice.The Autism Integrated Model (AIM): Our small classes of 6 or 8 children with high adult to student ratios are designed to meet the needs of children displaying behaviors associated with ASD and/or severe language delays. This Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention (NDBI) program integrates Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), targeted relational and communication training, sensory processing needs and developmentally appropriate practice.About the Role: NIS is seeking an enthusiastic and motivating leader for The Autism Program. This individual will have a passion for working with children on the autistic spectrum, a strong background in applied behavior analysis, and experience implementing and supervising an NDBI or similar model. The supervisor will be committed to evidence-based practices and effectively lead staff toward student driven outcomes within a developmentally appropriate instructional model. This role entails hands-on classroom supervision, coaching and interfacing with teachers regarding curriculum implementation, classroom management, report writing and program book oversite. The supervisor will conduct ongoing observations and fidelity checks and will lead weekly supervisory meetings with AIM staff. The supervisor will work with Education Director to coordinate and/or provide staff training and program development and is responsible for AIM program staff performance reviews. Exempt status position, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.Requirements:Master’s Degree in Special Education or related fieldNYS Certifications Birth- 2nd GradeMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a special education settingWilling to travel locally to oversee offsite programs2-plus years’ supervisory or related experience Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) certification a plusNaturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention (NDBI) experience a plus
