The literacy specialist provides contracted instructional services to students; identifies learning skill deficits and delivers prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by school leadership; consults with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students; communicates with parents and the school to provide information on student progress. Responsibilities also include participation in and helping to plan school-wide events, including learning nights and reading incentives.
