Number of Positions (5) 3-Science and 2-Math Program Overview: Newfield CSD is seeking highly effective Math and Science teachers for a 5-day intensive Regents preparation program designed to provide focused review, targeted skill remediation, and exam readiness in a short, high-impact format. This program emphasizes precision instruction, strategic Regents practice, and individualized academic support. Dates & Schedule Semester 3 – Intensive Regents Prep (5 Days) - Dates: August 11 – 14 and August 17 - Days: Monday–Thursday - Daily Instruction: 4 hours per day/per content block - Morning and afternoon blocks Compensation - Instructional Pay: $2,880 per teacher (5-day Regents Prep assignment) - Curriculum Development Pay: $360 per teacher - Total Possible Compensation: $3,240 per teacher Key Responsibilities - Deliver focused Regents-aligned instruction in Math or Science - Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 supports within the four-hour daily instructional block - Analyze student data to target priority standards and skills - Support students with test-taking strategies, content review, and applied practice - Maintain a structured, supportive learning environment aligned to program expectations Student Expectations & Program Structure - Class size capped at 10 students - Attendance and behavior contracts will be on file for all participating students - Teachers will reinforce consistent expectations for effort, attendance, and engagement Qualifications - Valid NYS Teaching Certification in Math or Science - Strong knowledge of Regents examinations and scoring expectations - Experience with intervention, review courses, or exam preparation preferred - Ability to deliver engaging instruction in a condensed timeframe Applications Please submit a current resume, a cover letter, and a statement of interest that clearly explains why you are a strong and well-qualified candidate for the Accelerated Learning Program.
