The Colonie Youth Center Inc. seeks three caring and engaging teachers to work in a UPK classroom. This is a fun and rewarding position where you help inquisitive children master the next level of their development. The UPK teacher operates the childcare program in compliance with the North Colonie School District guidelines and the policies of the Colonie Youth Center, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of planning, organization, and implementation of daily activities for the UPK classroom. They will create weekly lesson plans for the classroom based on provided curriculum. Will develop individual plans for each child which focus on social, cognitive, and physical development. Also responsible for monitoring and assessing student progress and engaging parents throughout the school year. Will have supervisory oversight of the teacher aide.Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid NYS teacher certification in eitherEarly education or Childhood Education B-2 or N-6Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30-3:30Salary: $44,000 - $48,0000 for a 10-month positionApply on OLAS.
