Title: Part-Time Typist Clerk 12-Month Part-Time Position in an elementary school district, K-6 Hours: 8 AM - 12 PM, Monday–Friday This position will directly support the Food Services Department. Salary: Starting at $22.59/hour GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Performs routine clerical work involving standardized clerical tasks; performs related duties as required. COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES Under direct supervision, require the use of judgment in the performance of standardized clerical tasks, and the work is reviewed for quality, accuracy, and correctness. TYPICAL DUTIES Performs a range of clerical and administrative duties to support the daily operations of the food services department Preparing and typing correspondence, reports, menus, and notices related to the food service program Maintaining records such as student meal accounts, free/reduced lunch applications, and inventory logs Entering and updating data in computer systems (e.g., meal counts, orders, and billing information) Assisting with ordering supplies and tracking deliveries Answering phones, responding to inquiries from parents and staff, and providing general office support Filing and organizing documents to ensure compliance with district and state requirements Perform related duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager, Assistant Superintendent for Business, or Superintendent of Schools *ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Workspace applications. Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and databases. Ability to learn and effectively utilize school nutrition software systems, including NutriKids. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, vendors, and government agencies. Knowledge of office procedures and record-keeping practices. Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform routine office and inventory-related tasks. Ability to work in office, storage, and kitchen environments as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Training and Experience Graduation from high school OR two years of satisfactory clerical experience, which included typing.
