Title: Wilson Certified Part-time Reading Teacher Pay scale: $40.00/Hourly Rate Hours: Monday-Friday 9:30am-1:30pm Description: The Part-time Wilson Reading Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing Wilson lesson plans to provide 1:1 or small-group reading instruction. Expectations: Training in the Wilson program Knowledge of language development, the reading process, and the components of reading performance to assess and instruct Plan and implement sequential learning experiences for students aligned with the Wilson approach, consistent with the district philosophy, mission statement, instructional goals, and the NYS Standards Evidence of the use of student data, running records and other assessment tools to guide instruction; interpret information from both formal and informal assessments for planning instruction Maintain communication with parents on an ongoing basis Record and report student attendance Other duties, as assigned Requirements: NYS Certification in Reading or Literacy REQUIRED OR IN PROGRESS: WILSON LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATION (No exceptions) Employment Term: This is an hourly position and benefits are not included.EOE Employer: The North Bellmore School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in its employment decisions and practices on the basis of legally protected classes in accordance with Federal and State law.
