The Newburgh Enlarged City School District has anticipated vacancy(s) for NYS Certified Teaching Assistant positions for Gardnertown School. QUALIFICATIONS: •Must have valid NYS Teaching Assistant certification (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3; or continuing) with an expiration date beyond September 1, 2023.These positions are for a new Special Class Program for students with multiple disabilities. These two (2) positions will include a stipend for toileting as well. The classroom TAs will be included in and expected to attend all of the professional development (PD) sessions geared towards staff members working with students who have multiple disabilities. These PD sessions are being provided by The Center For Discovery Agency and they will be scheduled approximately 5-6 days during the month of August. These PD days are paid days and the candidates recommended for the position will be expected to attend all of the PD days offered Our district serves a very large population of diverse students. Six elementary schools (including a Pre-K center in one building), one K-8 school, one middle school, and the high school are in the City of Newburgh.
