The Newburgh Enlarged City School District has an anticipated vacancy for an Assistant Library Director II for the Newburgh Free Library.**Assistant Library Director II position is Provisional and Contingent upon passing the Civil Service Exam when issued. This position is non-represented; Confidential Managerial GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:Serves as Assistant Library Director in a library serving a population of 50,000 to 250,000; does related work as required. ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:Six years of satisfactory professional library experience in a library of recognized standing after acquiring 5 years of college training in a college or university recognized by the University of the State of New York, 1 year of which must have been professional library training in a recognized library school; or any equivalent combination of experience and training sufficient to indicate ability to do the work. Six elementary schools (including a Pre-K center in one building), one K-8 school, one middle school, and the high school are in the City of Newburgh.
